8th September 2006

Well I got the off side support arm off eventually. It took another 4.5 hours with a blow torch, hack saw, 4lb club hammer and a cold chisel. The fitting kit came and includes twice as many of the locking caps as needed so I think I am not the only one ever to break them. The weekend will probably be mostly sanding and painting of the support arms and possibly the axle and mounting brackets. I am also off to pick up a set of bumper brackets that will fit the correct bumpers for the car. The bumpers currently fitted are from an earlier car. It’s going to be a close thing for me to get the car driveable again before the weather worsens too much.
